Amherst is home to the 1,200 acre SUNY at Buffalo Campus, which offers the advantage of a strong link to one of the nation's leading public research institutions and its comprehensive resources. With a student population of over 30,000 graduate and undergraduate enrollment, businesses reap the benefits of a highly qualified prospective labor pool of engineers, technicians, researchers, managers and various professionals.

Additionally, Amherst has several other colleges and technical schools within its geographic boundaries: Bryant & Stratton, Canisius College, Daemen College, Erie Community College, ITT Technical Institute, Medaille College. These institutions are part of the Buffalo-Niagara region's 15 four-year colleges and universities, and 20 two-year colleges . With over 106,000 students enrolled, our colleges and universities graduate more than 26,000 students each year.
